  • What is included in the photo-session?

The photo session includes: Up to an hour (or 2 hour depending on package) of photography, taking as many frames as possible in that time. The 2 hour shoot includes the option of 2 different locations, whether thats in your house, outside, local park etc...(please arrange before the shoot). After that, at least 10 proofs will be selected for your approval. This is also arranged at your home (no travelling for you!) where we can discuss the various photos and effects that may be applied. Then you make your selection for your free 10x8 and two 7x5's (must be the same picture) plus any other package you would like. The photographs will then be developed to your specification and hand-delivered to your door.

  • I've seen photographers for less, what makes you different?

As a mother I know how hard it can be to get your little ones to sit still, never mind keep clean, so all the photography itself is taken at your home or a location of your choice and at your convienence, so if the little darlings do get dirty you don't have to trail tons of clothes around with you. I also find that children and especially babies are more relaxed in their own surroundings with their own toys so we can take our time and get the right shot. Also regarding pets, you cannot really take your beloved cat or budgie to a studio, or if you did you wouldn't get a good shot. It's all about the personal touch. After the shoot I will select the proof's and then come to your residence at your convenience, there we can go through them together. Then after the editing is done I will bring you your photos myself so we don't have to rely on Royal mail making sure you get the photos you want, when you want them. I have found myself that nothing is better than feeling valued and thats what I strive to do for my clients.

  • I've heard some photographers can be pushy about selling their products.

Yes, unfortunately there certainly are some like this. Unlike some high street photographers I do not hard sell my services. Obviously I want you to get the best out of your pictures but will only suggest something if I feel it will do your picture justice. We can talk through the various options and potential of the pictures taken but please be reassured you won't be bullied into buying anything you don't want to and it is a shame that people have to be wary of such tactics by other so-called professionals.

  • I would love to take your maternity to first birthday offer but my baby is already 2 months. What can I do?

No matter what age your child is, we can adjust the offer to suit you! Also, if for instance you have a special event that is slightly out of the time you are due to have your photo-session, we can adjust it so we can take the photo on that day.

  • Help! My child will not behave on the day, what can be done?

Ok so children aren't angels all of the time, we all know that. Whether it's due to illness, tiredness or simply playing up I will endeavour to take at leat 10 frames for your approval. If by some slim chance those frames are not to our liking I will request another FREE photoshoot to be held at your convienence, remember you are the client and your wishes are paramount to attaining that perfect shot!

  • What do you mean by 'special effects'?

The effects I use to produce my shots can be anything from various filters to colour washing to highlighting a specific point in the photograph. These procedures can be labour intensive but in my experience, on the right photos it can produce some spectacular shots. This is all done after the shoot once the proofs have been examined and the options discussed. Every photo chosen comes with a free option of Colour, Black and White, or Sepia finish or for something more detailed a minimal charge is requested, but sometimes going that extra mile gets the results you've been wanting.

  • I've chosen and recieved my free photos, but my relatives want to choose some. Can they?

All photos taken and approved by myself for your choosing will be printed out onto A4 and a copy will be left with yourselves for future reference. All photos taken will be stored on a computer hard-drive and disc for a minimum of 6 months. So should you decide that you would like more copies of a particular photo or someone you love requests a photo, then I can deliver the one of your choice. Any photos not previously edited or requested special effects will incur a small charge added to the reprint cost.

  • Can I copy the photographs that I buy?

All the photos I produce are copyrighted to AngelFox and no reproductions can be made. This is a standard position held within the industry used to protect the photographer and the real value of their individual works of art. I would be able to sell the copyright on the photos for a fee of £200 (up to 5 photos) but this will not include any editing. To maintain quality reprints can be requested through myself.

  • What is the time frame between you taking the photos and us recieving them?

An average time frame will be around 2 weeks. This is from the proofs being chosen and the usual editing choices being agreed. For anything else (Canvas, Fotobloc, Bigger than 10x12) there is up to a 28 day waiting time although I have never dissapointed a customer by making them wait that long yet!

  • Can I also be in the photos?

Of course you can! I cannot be responsible for clothing, make-up etc.. but the more the merrier. The photoshoot covers up to 5 people whether they be a child, baby, adult or as many pets as you have (anymore than 5 people requires a 2 hour shoot).

  • What if I need to cancel the photo-shoot?

You are welcome to postpone the shoot for up to 14 days if you find that you cannot possibly hold it on the day booked. Any longer than that and the shoot will be held at my convenience. If you have to cancel for family emergency I can postpone your shoot until you are able to have it. Permanent cancellation with no prior or short notice (7 days) will incur the loss of the deposit given and if you wish to book in the future it will require the full payment of the shoot up front. This is to protect both you and myself. If I have to cancel for family emergency I will reschedule your shoot for your convenience or give you your deposit back.

  • What do you need for the photo-shoot?

You of course, the little or furry ones taking part and as big a space as possible to get the best effects with my equipment. If you have any favourite props or items (hat, scarf, toy etc..) then these will work great in the photographs. That's about it, although if you are inclined to offer a hot beverage I wouldn't say no!

  • What equipment do you use?

I use a high spec professional DSLR digital camera, tripod, lights and the latest state of the art light tents.

  • I think it's brilliant that you photograph pets also, but how is that achieved?

To take pictures of our beloved furry (or feathery) friends takes a little more patience and time, but don't worry it can be done! They will tend to be more natural and less posed than children's shots. Cats especially can be testing to photograph as they can be so stubborn and we all know how clever they are, if you have a really good shot they will choose that specific moment to jump off the sofa and go and use the litter tray, or start cleaning where they shouldn't in polite society! But the art of taking pet photography is another passion of mine and you will get the same choices and options listed. I promise we will end up with an image you can treasure forever!

  • Do you offer the steps stages for pets?

I can think of nothing better than having a record of your treasured pets first year. It can cover from when your new family member enters your home, right up until 12 months later. With the same options available to you as with the children's photography.
